My name is Shawn and I have made a few mistakes in life and have paid dearly for them. I am the father of three sons Andrew 12 ,Shawn 7 , and Sterling 6 . I love my family more then any word could ever say . I have chased many pipe dreams in this life all of which have left us destitude . I have drive and ambition as shown through my endevors in the U.S. Army as a fire support specialist and my rise through the ranks of Freemasonry and other groups of such nature .
Ihave sufferd a great deal in my life . This has come at the hands of those who where supposed to love me as well as my own . I was removed from my mothers care at the age of 14 and subsequintly placed in the coustidy of my grand mother who on my 18th birthday packed all of my clothse while I was at work which lead to me being homeless for the first time .
later in life when I was 20 I got my girlfriend preagnant with Andrew . Having no true direction in life I decided to join the Army . We where young and she did not really want to settle down which lead to her getting preagnant by another man while i was on a training excercize . She left and took everything . I later found her and left on leave to go home and try to reclaim my family . Well it turns out that her new boyfriend was a cop who managed to get a domestic violence charge put on me . Keep in mind I did not put a hand on her but this law is so greay that i got this charge because being trained by the military all she had to say was that I threatend her and her boyfriend "the cop" . I quickly accepted the plea as I was on leave from the Army and didnot want an A.W.O.L. charge ,part of the plea was time searved.

Please help me I have very little and cannot secure any kind of employment as I live in a small town and dont even have enough money to travel to find it . I want to go to school and get a degree in the enviromental friendly side of construction . I did make it through 4 years of an electrical apprenticeship through the I.B.E.W. but after not even getting a ticket in 6 years I got another domestic violence and this one was a felony and I endedup doing a year in prison thus leading to me getting kicked out of the union. Now keep in mind I did accidently hit , she was angry because we had just lost everything in a house fire and she was going through alot with her father dieng from cancer. She did not know how to deal with all of this so she lashed out. Please help us

I'M A WOMEN RECENTLY LOST MY JOB,I LIVE IN PA. I'M STILL WAITING TO GET A RESPONSE FROM UNEMPLOYMENT,GOT MY ELIGEBILITY BENIFIT PAPERS FROM UC IN THE FIRST WEEK OF AUG.2011, I'M GUESSING MY FORMER EMPLOYER WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE DECISION FROM UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION BOARD, PROBLEM IS I NEVER GOT THE HEARING DATE IN THE MAIL THAT WAS HELD THE 28TH OF SEPT.THERFORE I WAS AUTOMATICLY DENIED BENIFETS. THEN ON THE 29TH THE DAY I GOT THE MAIL SAYING I'M DENIED BECAUSE I DIDN'T SHOW. I CALLED UNEMPLOYMENT THEY WERE NO HELP AT ALL AS TO WHAT COULD/WOULD BE THE REASON I DIDN'T RECIEVE A HEARING DATE.FAXED A REQUEST FOR ANOTHER HEARING THIS WAS OCT.5TH THAT I DISAGREE WITH THEIR DECISION WOULD LIKE TO APPEAL THEIR DECISION,STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM UC ABOUT A NEW HEARING DATE ANY NEWS AT ALL .NEVER RECIEVED 1 PAYMENT. STILL TODAY I'M ABOUT TO LOSE MY HOME,,UTILITIES,PROPERTY TAXES,CONDO FEE,ARE ALL IN DEFAULT,I'M LOOKING FOR A JOB DUE TO ARTHRITIS CAN NOT DO ANY HARD LABOR JOBS THAT I USED TO DO MANANGED TO GET 1 DAY OF WORK A WEEK 50$ ISN'T CRAP,,BUT MY FOOT IS IN THE DOOR CURRENTLY AS A DRIVER.

Hi everyone. My husband and i are really needing help with Christmas this year. He does work full time i do not i stay at home with the kids. We were doing fine up until 5 months ago i never would have thought to even ask for help but i have no choice. We moved into my husbands uncles house thinking it was a good idea he said 10,000 was owed on the house and all we had to do was take over the payments. so we moved and come to find out the payments were 6 months behind. we have had to pay double our house payments for the past 4 months. that is 1200 a month!! plus all of our other bills. right now our gas is about to be cut off and our water bill is past due.  we are still behind on house but trying our hardest not to lose it because i really do not know where we would go if we did.I have looked for a job myself to try and help out but we live in such a small town i can not find anything here and i cant afford gas to drive any where else. My husband is so stressed out right now and i hate it. he works very hard and right now we have nothing to show for it. Christmas will not happen this year if i can not find some sort of job or help. i clean houses very well and i have very good refrences. i am willing to do just about anything right now so my kids can have christmas. please if anyway can help me and my family please let me know. :)

I have a car but no gas to get to my new job, start work tomorrow wandering if someone can help me with 20 dollars for gas or give me a ride to work... I work on northshore in knoxville tn and have to be at work at 8am in the morning.. :/

Looking for some help please. I am a mother of two and my husband and I lost our jobs two years ago, I am currently holding a part time position and travel 45 miles to work daily. My husband has not found any work. We have ran through our savings and have maxed out our credit cards just to maintain, and sold our furniture and household luxuries. We currently are behind on our mortgage and have our house on the market. I have my BA is Business and my Husband a Masters in Engineering. We are looking to see if someone has any work in the Triad Area of NC or if someone is willing to help?

I am feeling better after the absyst in my stomache with all the infection. I had a cat scan done today, still have the absyst but the swelling and infection is going down. I have been in a lot of pain since this begun August 27.. til now. I am starting to feel better atleast. When I was pregnant and had a baby I was out of work for a week. I want to go back to work, I don't feel well enough yet. I was starting to see a head way in life... and I can not afford to stop. That is what my body is making me do. I go back in two weeks to do another cat scan. I hope by then they will take this drip pan out of me. There is a coil in my stomache pumping infection out and I empty it three times daily. They have to wait to do the surgery. I am supposed to go back to work, while my body drains the infection in this drip pan.. which I can manage if I take it easy. My work is fast food so I am not sure if it is sanitary and we move fast pace. I am going to talk with my boss, which speaks in a heavy accent and I can not understand her english... I can not work a lot of hours, or alone, and as hard until I am better and feeling like myself again. Another option which I am not going to mention to her is find a job that accomodates me better, I have had different jobs, even recent ones that I do not have to bust so much ass at. I work for free 15 hours a week off the clock to meet the impossible deadlines expected of me. I am promised a management position, working towards it, and I am only getting paid minimum until I make manager. I have never dealt with this crap in my life and know I can get paid better at something more low key and a better position. I can deal with this job and find a better one. My boss calls me everyday to tell me when I work and how long. If I have something to do she gets mad so I am not allowed a life. Now if I get an interview I am not going to take her crap and I will go. I am feeling really ill again... the Doctors act like I should not be in this pain. I am and they should figure out what is exactly wrong with me. Maybe it is a burst appendix like they think, I don't know. I can't trust them because I am in pain and they can not get me out of it.

Help!ive been unemployed for 10 months and i just cant make it .im 52 ,on foodstamps,and over taxed un-employment.im begging for help from someone!i cant afford to get my licence renewed,or healthcare,hell even a job would be nice !!

I'm doing okay. I have a cat and she's doing okay, too. I go to work tomorrow for 6 hours. I have a temporary job. My cat is real nice. I think that she must get really bored. I wish she had a companion cat to live with, but I don't think I could afford another cat. She doesn't like going to the vet. I tried to take her the last time and she fought it, so I gave it up for awhile. I can't afford vet bills either.

I tried to upload a photo of my cat, but it doesn't work or its taking a real long time. I tried uploading a profile photo, too and it doesn't work either. I tried it before and it never worked then, either.

I have 3 kids, my boyfriend of 16 years walked out on me last year. I ended up having a nervious breakdown and was hospitalized for 7 days. In the hospital I was diagnosed with Bipolar I and Manic Depression. I am currently on medication. I have been out of work since February 2010 and actively seeking work with no luck. My house is in forclosure and my utilities are in the process of being shut off. The utility bills are high and are currently being shut off. Cable and internet are already off and any day now so will the electric. The water will be shut off if I don't pay the bill by August 12, 2011. The house is in forclosure the mortgage hasn't been paid in over a year. Any help you could give me would be great! I live in New Castle, DE!!!

For those hard working people, those that are working at home typing up reports. Those that are reading and studying in bed and for those that are finishing up things that are all related to work that you do for someone else. Why are you doing this?

Let me ask you a question - Does a bus driver take their work home?
Do security officers do their work at home?
Is the cook, waitress, store clerk taking their work home?

Big questions - When you leave the office or your job, are you still being paid? Then why are you working for free?

Here's a simple question, why are you working so hard for your paycheck? To make things better for your family? To improve things so you'll have money to take trips, pay for college and retirement?

What about right now? If your kids are young do you want them to remember you coming home from work to spend time with them - helping with homework, talking about their day, playing and laughing, helping with dinner? Or the memory of you coming home and after a few moments going into an at home office or spreading work out on a spare table or desk, not available - not really home, because you are busy doing "work".

Work you should have left at work! If you are a professional, a lawyer, doctor, teacher - you might fall into this also. But even you can make sure that tests are graded, cases are reviewed and work is done before going home. If you need extra help, find a way to get it. Work belongs in the workplace, in your office and if you work at home - leave it in the home office. Home time is family time. It's the reason you are working so hard, but it doesn't mean you have to work for free or miss out on being with your family.

Even if you're young and haven't started a family, learn to make sure you are getting a fair pay for the work you do. You have a life outside of work, at least, you should. Don't let employers trick you into working "off the clock" - it's not fair to you and to be fair, he should be finishing up his own work. See? He/She's not taking work home - they get others to do it for them. Plus they don't pay for it!

Do one better, get some extra help if the employer won't, especially if you're a teacher or other professional. Put a suggestion box in the main office - when it's full send it to the Big Cheese - whoever that may be. Peek at some of the suggestions if you want - (you might want to weed out the not so nice ones - there are clowns in every business.)

Put up posters on a notice board asking for an assistant. One of the ambitious types is sure to answer and you can offer a set price for what you need done. Never expect others to work for free, if you don't want to be working for free. Make sure you choose the right assistant too - one that will be helpful and allow you to finish your work at work.

What's the point of working our butts off if we're going to miss out on those special firsts with our kids. Missing games, dances, camp outs, picnics, pillow fights and sleep overs - wouldn't you rather be calling them to you for hugs - instead of yelling "Be quiet! I'm trying to work!"

The face of the whole economy is changing. Industries are being born and disappearing, some fields are growing, while others are phasing out. Who knows what's going to be the norm in a few years. But what shouldn't be the norm anymore is taking work home from the office and working off the clock for free.

For those that decide to work at home, make sure that you set up a work time for yourself and a time that you won't be working. Even if it's a flexible time, at least make sure that you make time for both work and family. We all need balance.
It's long overdue that some of us find it.

i have ameriprise financial services coming out to my house tomorrow. I don't know what they're gonna come out for They have a $99 background check fee and then its 57 for a license fee when you go get it. I don't have either of it. I just don't know what to do If they front me the money then yes i'll go to work for them. I just don't know no other way. Plus i have no idea what to do about school. I'm confused I am so scared right now the only good thing is my food stamps come in tomorrow and i can buy food. It is so frustrating not to have money in my pocket and be borrowing from everybody for things like cigarettes and gas. I wish I could do something hopefully either Target will hire me or Ameriprise will hire me.
